highest annual income in the US = SF bay area
highest average of home prices = SF bay area.
The cradle of technology = SF bay area.
A lot of affluent people here....
a lot of people in the SF bay area have money to burn.... many of these people can buy a ticket at any cost.... hop on a plan and watch a game anywhere they want.
So Cal has almost 30 million people in the surrounding areas with the most expensive zip codes in the US....there is plenty of money in California period
It's not about money at all.....It's about the size of a fan base. The Niners were a dynasty and have generations of fans, many of them live here in So Cal
The Rams unfortunately had a horrible owner during that dynasty and eventually turned off an entire fan base before bolting for St Louis leaving a void of over 20 years in this area along with many disgruntled fans....
There are very very few people like me who just couldn't shake them and followed them to St Louis after the way it all went down....I remember being the only Ram fan at the sports bar in 1995 trying to get the Rams game in OC....it was crazy.
Would love for all of you to just make it to one game and walk around the tailgates and in the stadium and see that there are tons of Rams fans at these games....the Niner games will always be an issue due to their fan base and proximity and they only disappear when they suck...trust me, if they were 4-12 heading into that game there wouldn't be half of them here.
Rams need to start kicking their ass on the regular if you want them to go away, but even then there will still be a few of them stinking up the place
