Mac Jones is going to be good. But he's not Brady.
One thing that gets overlooked. While the legend of Brady is deserved, he and the Pats had to have a whole bunch of fortunate things happen along the way.
If the Pats hadn't cheated by taping the Rams practice, they don't win that Superbowl.
If "the tuck rule" doesn't save Brady from an obvious fumble against the Raiders, they don't go to the Superbowl.
Bready stayed remarkably healthy, and had a great team around him year after year.
The Pats no longer attract top FA talent that simply wants to play for them and is willing to give a big discount.
If any team is like that today, it might be the Rams.
Unless Mac Jones somehow is the recipient of the huge pot of luck that Brady got, he'll be a good but not great QB.
I don't see the Pats as being "that team" for the next few years. Good... not great. Probably always playing bridesmaid to the Bills.
