I think it was a "gut punch" reality check. It was an absolute indicator that this team in NOT in any way a championship team. I think that's what's really bothering all of us. A team with championship qualities does not lose that game. PERIOD. We all realized with an unexpected (well mostly) unblocked punch in the gut that the Rams will be going home very soon. Sure, it was a 12-5 season, but we all see that it was mostly smoke and mirrors. This team didn't dominate or force their will on any teams this year, champions do that. Alot. It's just the deflating, disappointing realization that this team really isn't that good and it has a long way to go. I think the team is realistically, at the end of this season is looking up at the 49ers and Cardinals next year. That's not a good sign for the future.
