I was thinking the same thing.

They needed to pass at least once on that series; go for the jugular. Give your offense a chance to get the first down and kill the clock.

Obviously the defense should not allow Jimmy friggin Garappolo to March right down the field.

The Rams were just fine giving the niner receivers the middle of the field. Too much cushion given to their guys so they could catch the ball with space.

Not to mention those throws to the middle are throws even Garappolo can make in his sleep.

Oh, and zero pressure in Garoppolo's face didn't help.
