They will not beat the Cardinals. This team is finished for this season and in bad need of major adjustments, starting with the defensive coordinator. If it were any team other than the Rams, I would find it comical how Stafford repeatedly makes the same mistakes. Much of the focus has rightly been on failing to protect the ball near both end zones. Another problem, which manifested itself when the Rams scored their first TD of the season, is the badly under thrown long passes. When this happened the first time this year, it fortuitously ended up being a TD. There were several other instances in which it had a costly effect, including at the end of the crucial game that we all just saw. It is due to repeated failures to recognize and correct such obvious problems that I have at times referred to McVay as clueless. Despite his many successes, he seems to be clueless or oblivious to certain problems that keep happening over and over again.
