I don't know if anyone has pointed this out already, but the best outcome for the Rams last week would have been if the Cardinals and Cowboys game had finished in a tie. That would have allowed the Rams to clinch the division AND move ahead of the Cowboys into the #2 position. It also would have left them with something to play for in the coming week -- holding onto the #2 seed. As it stands, they are at risk of losing the division and falling from #2 to #5. That #2 position is huge. There is a chance that the Cowboys or Bucs could beat the Packers. In that case, the Rams at #2 would need to win only two home games to get to the Super Bowl -- which will also be at their stadium.
