I have my share of complaints about Morris too. Believe me.. But there are some valid points to this. The Rams- like it or not- made a conscious decision to build their roster (on both sides of the LOS) to play with a lead. So when they turn the ball over early and get behind by 10-14 points it's pretty inevitable that they'll fall apart. And we've seen that now 3 straight games.
As crappy as the past 3 games has been, and while the defense has just one turnover in those 3 games, they're allowing 5.3 yards/play (8th) for the season, they're 7th in opposing QB rating and they're 3rd in run defense (yards/carry). Football Outsiders rates the Rams defense 9th overall in the NFL. And as far as actual points/game given up by the defense, they're 10th (21.2 PPG).
Their QB pressure rate is 26th in the league and they're 24th on 3rd downs. That's really where improvement needs to happen. IF it does, the rest would fall into place.
