Yeah Morris is a big part of the problem. It's the way he's calling it. The guy doesn't have feel for when to roll coverages up.

Also folks are misconstruing zone/man in terms of being able to cover short routes. You don't need to play press man to eliminate the irritating passes that have been going off for 6 yards a pop barely a second after the snap. That can be done with the technique call even when you're in zone with pattern matching. The issue is we have a DC learning this scheme on the job. And that is McVay's fault.

Putting Ramsey on the top opposing wideout is also an issue. Staley was very good at disguising what he was doing and flipping the script wrt expectations. Morris is very predictable. It's grasp of scheme IMO. Just line Ramsey up on the best WR for most snaps and I think that eliminates some of the unknowns where Morris gets caught in looks the other team wants.

Last but not least to Morris' credit he is playing two young DBs in DD and Rochell. So it was good to see Jourdan's note that both stayed late the other day to work on stuff. We need both those guys playing smart ball and at least being in the right look at the right time. Morris is having enough probs as it is he doesn't need guys freelancing.

No better team to at least TRY to press than the Jags. Jags have only NINE TD passes!
