When I watch the Baltimore Ravens play defense, I can constantly count 9-10 players within 2-3 yds of the LOS. They really force the issue to the opposing team's offense that they are going to be "in your face" all game long.
Looking at those pictures, it's clear that the Rams are in Bend Don't Break mode. Don't give up the Big Play. (But, give up little plays and let them march down the field for ANOTHER SCORE!)
IMHO, you as a coach need to "trust" your players to make the plays. Defend "your" player and take care of your job when called upon.
I think these pictures show us exactly why Ramsey has been critical with DC Morris. Ramsey wants a more physical, in your face defense. So do I!
