If Stafford isn't able to move around in the pocket due to his bad back....this offensive line isn't going to keep him clean....especially with how long it takes him to release the ball.

This is why they need to bench him and start Bryce Perkins......even if it means the season is lost.

Rams have no draft picks for a new qb...they need to develop Perkins now and start him if Stafford lays another egg against the Jaguars. Stafford could be retiring in a couple of years if his back injury is serious...think Todd Gurley.

Perkins is the guy who can improvise with his feet and has just enough arm talent and touch on his short to medium passes to get the job done.

He may not have the long ball threat but he has the poise and fight that I don't see in Stafford right now. Perkins came back from a broken neck in college. This guy carried his team to a bowl game in college with little supporting cast. He beat teams in college with his running ability and kept defenses off balance.

Perkins has fought through adversity and put a team on his back...something I don't think Goff and Stafford has done.
