I agree he has treated the bottom of the roster as a mix of ST and players who might have playing upside. Whereas Fisher used the bottom of the roster for ST. But he is a young coach and he is learning. We saw more emphasis this offseason with 3 ST core types being drafted in Harris, Skow, and Funk. That was a new thing.
At some point he is going to get really tired of his teams underperforming and he'll fix where he has been deficient. I think that has already started. He has changed out two ST coaches in the past two years. He has started drafting core teamers late round (gunners were a huge issue last season). I am confident he'll get there.
Right now he's looking at his teams film and seeing ineffective blocks all over the field and poor lane discipline. That will be his next step IMO so maybe next year we'll see some actual improvement.
