I agree, he hasn't been consistently elite since the SB. He had a bad ankle in the SB though so I didn't really count that as him simply struggling. The league has figured something out on him and he's having to deal with it. He'll either counter what they're doing or he'll...well, suffer the same fate as Goff.
And plenty of people are talking about Mahomes' struggles. I don't agree that he's getting some kind of free pass. Most seem to be acknowledging that he is not himself. I don't see any arguments that it's because of the OL, Reid, WR's, etc. So, I'm not really sure why you feel like Goff is unfairly criticized? Until further notice, he's Matt Cassel 2.0 though. I think it's really damning that Goff's decline coincides with him getting that fat contract.
