I wanted to bring something to light that I noticed at the game on Sunday. As the game was winding down, I was adamant that the Rams NEEDED to get their defensive starters out of the game. Eventually, they all were except for ONE. TWICE a replacement entered the game only to be waived off by the player. After two failures, McVay called timeout, just to get this guy off the field!!! The player walked as far away from McVay as he could. Whitworth met the player before he reached the sideline to say something to him. Was this noted on TV? Anyone else at the game notice this as well? The player looked to have an attitude about being replaced. McVay looked a little pissed that it had to come to this. It was basic insubordination really. The player disobeyed the coaching staff!
Is there any reason for concern over this incident? Curious of everyone's thoughts.
Why would the player not want to come out of the game? The game was OVER. Was he hoping for a cheap interception?
Btw, the player was Jalen Ramsey.
Go Rams!
