Also really liked this breakdown from Warner. Among a lot of the all 22 videos I've watched commentary on recently, this one did one of the best jobs of breaking down what they mean by wr-qb not "seeing the same things" and how many dynamic choices have to happen on a pass play for something big to connect. I'm thinking in particular about the one where he wanted to take Desean on a long ball, but ended up taking the sack b/c Desean broke the route outside. It also gives me some faith that these really are things that they can get ironed out. I watched the Seattle game and thought that Stafford was just 'off' on some throws and misfiring, but this video gives me a little more hope than that.
Kurt also criticized some of the throws where Stafford seems to be throwing into double coverage on long balls like the one to Van. Feels like we used to do a lot more of that kind of "take our shot" deep ball before where we didn't necessarily scheme someone open, but just wanted to threaten long. I'm still fine with doing that on occasion and will take the pick every so often from Stafford on those throws if it also gets us something like the successful long ball to Desean.
As someone who mainly watches line play (b/c of what you get on broadcast and what I played a long time ago in HS), the sophistication of coverages and route combinations is really fun to learn about.
