Warner mentions how Stafford needs to not feel like everything is on his shoulders, and force things. I agree that he was trying to make something happen instead of throwing the ball away during that awful looking endzone pic.
It makes perfect sense that after all that time in Detroit he would feel like he needs to do more.... all the time. But with this team, this coach, and the weapons' he has on this offense.... that is no longer the case....
He needs re-program his thinking on this... it's ok to throw it way, and give his team another chance. And also like Warner said in 1999 (paraphrasing) "all I need to do is get the ball in the hands of my play-makers"....
They have the knowledge and specifics that illustrate what I have been saying all along--without any of the depth of knowledge of those guys---but when I said that Stafford was very good and not elite---all I got was attacked
Now, after five games we've seen why Stafford has ELITE TRAITS but does not always get it done like the maybe 4-5-6 or whatever elite QBs of his era
He's 2nd tier--but the point also is that he's an upgrade from Goff and this team does not need Brady, Rodgers, Manning ELITE QBing to win
Goff got Rams to Super Bowl---and Stafford CAN, too. But he's streaky and it's mostly good---but he will have bumps in the road too
But when Rams get in playoffs, and they will, maybe even division winners---they will have better chance than with Goff who regressed since that 2018 Chiefs game.
