I cannot force myself to pull for any player other than a Ram.. not in competition. Sure, there are other players I like and I wish them well, I hope they do well... as long as it's not against the Rams... even in FF.
Even more: I cannot bet against the Rams... which is why I don't get into pools, (except one, with my grandsons). But even there I'm taking the Rams every week.. no matter what.
I have certain rules that I try to live by and its very easy to separate the fantasy team from your reality team.....
1. Rams come first, I could give.a shtt what happens in fantasy as long as my Rams win
2. stay away from Niners, Seahawk and Cardinal players, unless you just cant pass up a value pick, but it is rare.
3. try not to take it too seriously, it's just a game at the end of the day, although I do spend a lot of time studying before the draft
4. limit my leagues to two max....when you have too many leagues you have too many times where your own players are going against you in your other league and it will drive you nuts
I love fantasy football and would highly recommend it to any football junkie, but definitely join a free league or two before you dive in to money leagues ....once you are in a money league with 12 of your friends (with a $3000+ first place prize money) and you have an annual live draft party, it is awesome and one of the funnest days of the year....now a days it's the only time you get to see some of the guys.
