For Stafford to have the highest rated game of his career in answering the bell, I think that qualifies as great.
the rating was in part because a couple of Bear DBs fell asleep and didn't touch a guy down. That is a fact. It's not minimalizing or marginalizing the good part
of the play, the throw was great and the catch was great. But when that hidden stuff is honestly looked at you can see that the passer-rating is not the best
way to evaluate what happened.
So, sorry, disagree, "great" means "great" I saw good quarterbacking, not great against a team that played like crap.
If you disagree fine, but what I can about is winning it all, and while you do have to win the gimme games like this, still a fair
assessment has to include freak things that you cannot count on all the time.
Been around a long time and have see Rams teams in 1973-80, then 1999-01 and 2017-2020 and have one ring that I can brag
about.
One good game by a QB, which IMO, was not "great" does not mean I am going to buy into the hype.
