maybe it does somehow happen. I just think it's highly unlikely and that the running game can be effective otherwise.
On CJ Anderson, true. He did. For 4 games. If he'd come in in July and been asked to do that all year could he have? I tend to doubt it.
I think a veteran signing really does depend on the coaching staff's opinions of Jones and Calais, etc. If they think one of these guys was going to be their RB3 but
could handle elevating to RB2, they won't make a move yet. If they only feel they're 3rd string guys and special teamers only, then they will. But I do understand them wanting to give those guys 4-6 weeks of work to try and prove themselves. A situational RB could be signed 8/31 or 9/1 and be ready to play on 9/12.
