1st - Corbett at Center makes us a bigger OL. Better to handle the NT/DT power than Blythe. Of course, there's no one behind AC with his size, but as long as he stays healthy.
2nd - Don't underestimate Stafford's impact on the OL. Word is that he helped the Lions' center become a decent C. Also I can see Stafford thriving in a quick pass offense if McVay needs to go to that. Scheming to help the OL perform better? Yes, we can do that with MS.
3rd - This OL has played together before - it's not the first time for all of them. Would I prefer if the Rams had drafted an OL backup center and/or Whitworth replacement? Sure, but it's not the doom and gloom that the anti-Ram pundits are saying. I think McVay learned a lot about the poor OL in 2019 (due to injuries and playing Demby) and will be ready to adjust. I also think that Carberry might be better with rookies and that Zach Kromer is an up-and-coming OL coach, following in his Dad's shoes.
