but simply a belief that that can improve from what they have.
That said, I'm not big on using social media for "recruiting purposes" because of multitude of legitimate interpretations of what the post means -- not all of which may be as the author intended or beneficial to the overall team.
True on that point. However since this isn't something AD does often, I feel it carries a lot more weight than Jalen being Jalen and while Jalen is a foundational piece of this franchise AD is THE foundational piece of this franchise so his wants count for a LOT. No one wants a disgruntled foundation ala the Packers and to a lesser extent Seahawks. Why not cut off any future issues down the road by listening to him now? How can Ingram if healthy (if not then go get Houston) not help the Rams defense? A double digit sack guy opposite Floyd might allow the team to not only retain it's #1 defense ranking from last year but maybe even improve up the all time lists I hated losing JJ3 but it has yet to be proven if he is as good as he appeared to be or is another Corey Littleton who being in a close vicinity of greatness looked very good. IF Ingram or Houston can be had at a team friendly price why not???
And if they don't sign Ingram was AD right? So the coaches are the ones not improving?
See if you over-justify every comment every Ram makes you end up in paradoxes like that.
All I know is that AD overstepped a little and hinted it would be nice to sign an old, unproductive player at a position where they do have in-house candidates.
Now is AD just being over-eager on this one thing? (As I said in a different post, maybe he knows Ingram and would just like to see him on the team.) Or does he genuinely believe the Rams have no one at the position so even a 30-something player with no recent stats coming off a knee injury is an "improvement"?
