That said, I'm not big on using social media for "recruiting purposes" because of multitude of legitimate interpretations of what the post means -- not all of which may be as the author intended or beneficial to the overall team.
In general that's fair, but then--do players all over the league advertise their team needs that way on a regular basis? In contrast when they speak out for a guy in his 30s who hasn't gotten a sack for a year, it's not like hoping for Julio Jones. IE the fact then Ingram is mediocre 11 year vet coming off a knee injury and with no sacks in 2020 means he's a big question mark, which does not lend itself to the "big improvement" theory.
Anyway there's a multitude of interpretations different than yours, and mine. That's what we expect from conversation. It could also be that Donald just likes Ingram and didn't think about what a comment like that might sound like.
And everyone knows this is a very minor issue.
