“Bro, this dude’s a bad MF-er,” McVay said. “Whatever people say about him, as good as it can be, he’s even better than advertised. It makes sense to him. The guy’s ability to see the game, his ability to draw on his experiences, the feel that he has, it’s pretty special and unique. And man, his feel for people, his authentic way of connecting with his teammates, his coaches, this guy, it’s great being around him.”

I am always cautious with over hyping something or someone. Living up to those expectations can be a challenge.
I will temper my expectations
This just means (IMO) that McVay has a very experienced, savvy qb with a lot of physical talent left, so he doesn't have to be patient or tempered. (IMO he would have to be those things if this were Stafford in his 5th year.)
McV's enthusiasm is a good thing. I think it will contribute to a good team identity.
But...I have no argument with someone who says this is all new, I will temper expectations until we see what we have. Personally, I think that's a fair position to take.
