Well there's clearly nothing to be lost from seeing how he takes to pro coaching.
But--my thing is (fwiw) is that you could tell immediately with guys like Anchrum, Brewer, and even Corbett (after the trade) that there was something there. Not just the basic physical talent. Those guys were all talked about as having special character. They fit a Rams profile, where they had character, leadership, and outstanding traits as people as well as players. Jackson's not a bad guy but near as I know he does not stand out that way.
But to me this is just good Rams discussion. I don't have any particular issue with the guy. Maybe he makes it, maybe he doesn't. But in comparison to the others I named, you could see right away that there was something to those guys, and that's physical stuff aside.
