He acknowledged that they weren't trying to knock it out of the ballpark with their selections: That they were seeking middle ground, guys that they felt comfortable with, would not be underwater.
Mayock also was very clear on his feelings about the combine. He contends that they could have held a safe, and reasonable event without exposing players to and teams to illness. That not getting the medicals was a serious setback, and I felt that the personality stuff probably was in his wheelhouse, as well.
He's a cerebral guy, and I don't know he's my fav, but for those into the Raiders it does seem that one could interpret his remarks.
