I've been posting good and bad, agree and disagree, optimistic and pessimistic, things re the Rams here for over a decade.
Old timers here know that.
You've resorted to a mischaracterization, but can't stop you and won't try.
I hated the Greg Robinson pick and loved the Aaron Donald pick.
I hated, hated, hated the Brian Quick pick.
But I loved the Tavon Austin pick.
Go back and see what I said about last year's picks. Wait, you can't, cause I didn't have a strong opinion about any of those guys, although I do recall praising Cam Akers a little after he was drafted and I took a look at him.
So in this case I do have an opinion. So what.
I've been right and wrong about draft picks. Sometimes I was wrong when I agreed with the Rams. Sometimes I was right when I disagreed.
But I like to discuss it. It's what fans do. In no case do I declare that my position is the only possible right one.
The thing to see here is that YES, sometimes the fans end up being right. Sometimes they do.
An appeal that says trust the professionals is self-refuting because we both know that a lot of other teams' professionals would NOT have drafted Tutu at 57.
So it's not just professionals against arrogant amateurs. It's which professionals do you agree with.
I see no reason to harangue people for not toeing the Ram line.
You my friend are on a roll.
Now to be perfectly clear--I say that because you are articulating (quite well) a position (actually positions plural) that I myself hold.
But in cheering you on I am doing more than just simplistic sides-taking and partisan flag-waving or piling on your debate opponent.
It's not just that you are articulating positions I too happen tp hold, and feelings about all this I happen to feel, but above all you are doing it quite well. Very well-spoken. Lots of good comments. In fact--be forewarned: I will probably be freely stealing from how you put a lot of these things.
So, bravo.
