Watching what little tape he put up last year, and listening to what was said of him coming out of school, I suspect that he might be a good Slot Corner candidate.... even more than Long. He is a little thicker and more physical; that's important because more and more it's that larger WRs are operating out of the slot so that it's a bit harder for the D to get hands on him until he's had a couple of steps to get moving. I think that's why they let Robey-Coleman go, because even though he was a good player he was on the smallish side to deal with the new generation of beefier slot WRs and the way some teams move their WRs around (heck even the Seahawk's giant Metcalf has lined up in the slot).

I think that Burgess would excel at either S or nickel. So, Rams will have the luxury of choosing which position for him best suits their quality of depth at the other.

Truly a champagne problem. Helluva 3rd round comp pick, IMO.
