One way to look at that is Stafford elevated the Lions from crappy to middle-of-the-pack, adding on average 3 wins a year while he was there in addition to three playoff appearances. If he delivers three more wins in 2021 than Goff would have I will be one happy camper!!
The last QB to take the Lions to the playoffs 3 times? Bobby Layne ... in 1952, 1953, 1954, and 1957. So in the last 63 years, Stafford is the only QB to take the Lions to the playoffs at least 3 times.
Btw, the Lions haven't won a playoff game since 1991.
