These guys were all big name Superbowl winners. But they couldn't greatly elevate the new teams they went to. It seems what a really good QB can do, however, is to get a team that is good over the hump to elite.

I think that is what the Rams are thinking...... and I'm hoping.

That the media especially always pushes the "Tom Brady against Mahommes" angle, it's simply not true. QBs don't play against one other. And those 10 other guys around them aren't hole fillers.

It is rare than an NFL team can go far with no running game. It is rare that an NFL can go far if their D can't defense the pass. It all has to work together.

I've not seen one football expert.... ex player or ex GM..... suggest that Goff and Stafford are apples to apples. Stafford is simply the superior player and has proved it for a very long time.

He's been with a crappy organization for a long time and although he's put up very impressive numbers, the other ingredients aren't there.

I remember one time that Brady's wife once said after a game the Pat's lost and Brady was questioned for his performance: "He can't pass it and catch it". Yep. And those sorts of comparisons can be made all across the board on a team.

Detroit just flat sucked and Stafford made the best of it. We'll see now what happens with the Rams.
