Michael Brockers says Rams still have NFC West's best D-line despite J.J. Watt's arrival

The Arizona Cardinals made a big splash this offseason by signing J.J. Watt after he was released by the Houston Texans. They now have a dangerous pass-rushing pair with Watt and Chandler Jones, preparing for the potential departure of Haason Reddick.

It’s yet another move made by an NFC West team to maintain the division’s title as the best in the league. But which team in the division has the best defensive line?

If you ask Michael Brockers, he’ll obviously tell you the Rams. And his case is made by the team’s consistency, as well as the presence of who he calls the real No. 99: Aaron Donald.

Brockers was asked by TMZ Sports which team has the best D-line now that Watt is in the picture.

“You already know that question, bro,” he said. “You’ve been knowing that question. It’s all about consistency, what the Rams have been putting out. Not per se myself, but we all know who the real 99 is. That’s just real. Real respect real.”

“I just think our D-line’s been working, been the best, or one of the best. Our record’s proven.”

As good as both the Rams and Cardinals should be up front, the 49ers are no slouches, either. When healthy, they have Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead, Dee Ford and Solomon Thomas, and that’s even after trading DeForest Buckner to the Colts.

The Seahawks are really the only NFC West team that doesn’t have a truly dominant defensive line on paper. The Rams have questions of their own to answer with Leonard Floyd hitting free agency, but so long as Donald is wearing horns, they’ll be considered one of the best defensive lines in football.
