As a long long time Rams and NFL Fan I know and along with all my 4 sons on how it goes as its a business and no one can get attached to certain players. All Teams want and you want as a experienced fan especially in this Era is the best player you can have to protect you prized piece the QB you just acquired.
I doubt the Rams would shave the cap there and go with less effective players especially what they went thru to get Stafford.
Only do that if you can get a equal or better replacement as they just got Stafford and now you make sure he stays protected and not put a Rookie in there thats just learning the NFL Ropes and the Offense to save a few bucks lol ! ha, ha, ha Dont create more holes to plug.
Havenstein may not be great but he is good and its still a reasonable price. No Teams in the NFL are going to have AllPro or Pro Bowl Caliber Players across the OL. We shall see what happens soon enough.
The Rams have already proven many creative ways to get under the Cap and add Players. I have seen some darn good Shows by some very smart folks on the Cap and on how Teams can get under the Cap. Its going to get interesting real soon. GO RAMS !
I just explained to you how Rams could replace Hav with a pass blocking RT already on their roster and still on their respective rookie contracts, Berendsen.
I can’t explain it any more simply. Better pass blocker for Stafford for significantly less money while offering millions more cap dollars to be used at positions of real need such as C or Edge. And neither Boom or Evans are rookies anymore. Both have started at OT previously and played quite well there.
Yet your reply indicates that either you don’t believe my conclusions or you’ve chosen to pretend that they don’t exist. I’m genuinely puzzled, man.
