The other option:
Suppose a team is loaded at a certain position and that position is BPA when they're on the clock. First, trade that pick to a team that needs that position in exchange for additional picks. Then pick your guys when BPA and team needs line up.
This is the Snead approach. In addition to trading down though, he mixes in trade ups. I think it's a more pragmatic approach. Basically move around until what you need is BPA.
