Ram Fan Teacher
Your comprehension of what I previously replied to has been noted.
Well you repeated back to me something I have already said myself multiple times-
-we do not know why the Rams/Kromer parted ways. So I say that and your response is to repeat it back to me and THEN do the "comprehension" flame. Okay. Shrug.
But given all that, I do think it sounds completely implausible that a coach somehow couldn't be himself and/or develop with
older coaches on the staff. I just don't buy that. So I was disagreeing with this:
McVay then had the role as a "son" or younger coach being helped along by veteran coaches until he was ready to become a head coach. That does not sound the least bit likely to me as a reason to part ways with a coach and McVay does not strike me as being that insecure. People can change from a "learning how to run things" to "running things" stance without having to dump the older guys who helped with the transition.
The much more plausible argument to me, fwiw, is that he wants coaches who fit his idea of teachers/coaches, which is why he switched from Johnson to Henderson on the DL. And I have said that myself a couple of times.
But that has nothing to do with age....
...
It wasn't a flame ZN. It was me stating that I "understand" your point of view on this topic and leaving it at that. For me to continue to explain myself would be fruitless in our give and take on the subject. Neither of us will change our mind and you will continue to reply to me about your "belief" until I grow tired and stop replying to you. I'm just concluding it now. That's all. No problem.
