I just dont get the "we can get by" attitude at ILB. Im sick of picking special teams linebackers and hope that they maybe can contribute. If we pick the right guy, Cox or Mcgrone or Moses they could be three down guys you hate to take off the field.
The best edge guy i think we could get at 57 is probably Joe Tryon. But from the film ive seen , from 2019 no less, he is no where as explosive or dynamic as Obo was his senior year. He is good no doubt but also would struggle to make an impact this year.
This same argument can be made at offensive center. But the right Ilb at 57 can make an impact and most likly start.
I hear you. I think it's positional importance that's making it a lower priority. In this draft scenario, would you forego a future LT who will likely contribute this year and would be the probable starter at LT next year? Touch choice.
I do think that ILB would be one of the easiest spots to upgrade and get an immediate return.
