I don't think throwing too much is a risk/problem.

Against TB with a stout run defense, Goff came out throwing and sliced them until the 4th quarter.

Against Sea in the Playoffs with a hurt Goff they ran heavy sets and even wildcat.

McVay is adaptable in that way and wants balance.

The problem I foresee is when things break down, will the mad scientist overthink the situation and try and get cute with exotic plays that don't fool anyone.
