I do think Goff did a lot of good things in his time with the Rams and he was far from a disaster. But when defenses schemed the Rams differently and committed to bringing extreme pressure on the QB Goff did not perform well and his turnovers skyrocketed. Is that all on him? No of course not. The Oline and adjustments to the offensive scheme were ineffective and certainly contributed to Goff problems. However, I also think that it got to Goff and was in his head and that perhaps the communications issues with McVay may have enlarged the problem. Still at the end of the day the QB can't have those terrible turnovers and he has to make better decisions despite all the challenges. That is what the great QB do. After 2 pro bowls my hopes were that we had a top 10 QB but now Goff seems to be slotted as more of a 10 - 20 level QB which is ok and starter quality. However he falls short of where I hoped he would be.
I wish the kid the best and hope he figures it out.
