I’m not qualified to comment on specific players because I don’t really follow college football. But I do have general thoughts and opinions that I suspect might be the current Ram thinking.

I believe that the Rams have Edge as a higher priority than you do. IOW, I think ILB will take a back seat to edge in their offseason needs list. Whether they move mountains to extend Floyd, go with another hungry vet FA, work a trade (Kupp, Woods, Brockers, Hav), or pounce on an Edge they like early in the draft remains to be seen. But I’m certain that they will do one or more of these things. A very bold restructuring of salaries is very much on the table to help facilitate things. As it stands now, the Rams have TWO screaming needs at Edge so they know that SOMETHING has to be done on both sides if they hope to take advantage of this brief 2-3 year SB window. Snead will simply not enter the draft with 2 holes at edge, nor should he.

Incidentally, you left off Kelvin Joseph at CB in your final position summary.

If Snead sees a deep enough draft at needed positions, I fully expect him to continue to trade down shrewdly to add needed picks. It will drive me crazy at the time but he’s had good to great results with this strategy.

Finally, the Covid restrictions make this draft even more of a crapshoot than usual. Will it help or hurt the Rams? Especially now that Holmes and Agnew are gone? I could see where the restrictions MIGHT give a top eval team a slight bit of an advantage. Kinda like the expression, ‘In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is King’? Hope the Rams are the one-eyed man in this metaphor.
