I would not mind packaging a 2nd and a third to move up and take the best center available. my first thought would be to get Alex Mack but if he signs elsewhere trade up and get the best C available.
We need speed at receiver, I am a huge Mcvay Fan but all these route runners does not strike fear in the defense, all these DB's are trailing our receivers because they do not respect our deep threat
edge, we may have our edge rusher on the team, I do not want to spend any money on an edge unless it is von miller
I pretty much see all of that differently Stafford9.
I agree that C is priority #1, but no need to package picks to move up for one if they choose the draft route. A 2nd is plenty enough for one of the top 3 C’s. I lean toward the FA vet route. Worked fine with Big Whit at LOT since ‘17, although it would be hugely expensive. A Sully type for a few years could do the trick at far less expense, but either way Rams would have an instant fix as opposed to developing a rookie. Question. Is Mack still all that good? And what would be his cap cost? Asking ‘cause I dunno...
Edge is my close #2 need and I disagree that a reliable proven starter is on the roster at EITHER side. I favor signing our 3rd consecutive affordable/hungry Edge FA to take Floyd’s place in order to benefit career-wise from the AD Effect. Would give instant results and best bang for the buck. Drafting another Edge player seems prudent as well until SOMEBODY finally seizes that other Edge spot.
As an aside. I would be willing to sacrifice players like Hav, Brockers, and even Woods or Kupp, if necessary, in order to fill these needs. I wouldn’t like it, but I’d be willing to do it just the same.
Agreed on the need for a speedy WR, but it can come in 4th after the other mentioned need priorities. Could be a 2nd tier FA or could be a mid to late round draft pick.
