That makes the most sense. McVay gave Gourley cover for his bad knee. He has a history of taking the blame for loses. Almost everyone on this board had acknowledged there were problems and that an offense that should be consistent and productive had so many inconsistent games. Interception and turnovers are bad, but not enough to trade a QB as talented as Goff. This explanation supports what we were seeing.
