McVay is coaching for a methodical, short chunk, high % game. It's not that he doesn't want explosive plays, it's that he wants to ensure the high% plays are reviewed first. I think Goff has tried to adjust to this style and it hasn't been to his strength. He doesn't get in rhythm anymore. Defenses are crowding the line because they know everything will be short.

But I'm skeptical on this part. With as often as McVay and Snead have mentioned explosive plays in the recent interviews, I'm doubtful that McVay actually wants a methodical, short chunk game. I think he made that move because of the personnel they have.

Very fair statement. We just don't know how much was McVay adjusting for his young line, struggling QB, and suddenly very good defense.

To me the key game was the Bills game. The rams were down a LOT early. All of a sudden the offense and Goff roared alive knowing they were behind and came storming back only to have a horrible PI called at the end of the game against a great 2nd half defense.

Things we know about McVay;
- When he has the lead late, he goes into a shell to try and hold out.
- He doesn't like a lot of fake/trick plays. Hook and Lateral was the most interesting post season play we've seen under McVay. Akers did look to pass out of wildcat.

I see him a a fairly conservative coach that likes predictability. Is Watson predictable? I don't know him well enough
