And I guess it's to each fans determination of Goffs level of play.
I just see a guy that had a somewhat subpar year
20 TDs 13 ints 9-6 regular season
1-1 in playoffs.
For me personally it's absurd that a guy with his resume would be put on blast and told he's in open competition
With a nobody who has done nothing in this league.
I know the folks down on Goff say
"Suck it up buttercup" you aren't guaranteed anything
But this thing simply isn't done to any franchise QB on a high dollar contract.
So I think it's obvious Goff is going to react poorly to the concept.
If as an organization you think the guy can't play trade him or cut him
Bite the bullet admit your mistake and eat the contract.
This just seems like a bad look to me. I wonder how it looks to other players in the room?
None of us truly know how Goff is viewed by his teammates
I've never heard a bad word
But who knows?
If he is respected by the players
than they are going to view this as doing a guy dirty imo
