that is Lamar Jackson. I posted this back in Nov
IMO there are fans that don’t want to see change. Not saying that’s you but the way you narrowly describe the running QB seems to be waaay too broad. What Dak, Wilson, Romo, Rodgers, Mahomes, Herbert, I could go on.... there are athletic QBs who can make plays with their legs and extend plays as a result.
RG3 and Lamar Jackson are running QBs

The pure pockets QB is a dying bread. The day and age on elite offensive lines is over too across the league beyond one or two. You simple do not see dominant olines that can physically dominate especially in this day and age of the salary cap where teams try to go cheap on the interior particularly. (see the Rams) they aren’t the only ones
It is an absolute must to have a QB who is also mobile (not running like Jackson) who can make off schedule plays. Burrow and Herbert are two rookies that fit this description.

Eli won two SBs over 10 years ago and is no longer playing
Brady - is 400 billion years old
Brees - See Brady (I also think Brees used to be a lot more mobile than he is now)
Flaco is now a backup QB for the Jets
Aaron Rogers fits into the definition of the athletic QB I am talking about
