What we know about Staley I agree, but he only had one year and before that nobody and I mean nobody knew who the hell he was. It's not like people felt Denver's linebackers we extraordinary and while with the Bears Staley was still an under the radar assistant. Bieniemy & Brian Daboll especially have far more glowing resumes then Staley and if Staley fails, many will point to his inexperience and not being ready.
The one thing though I like about Staley is he played QB in college, so for a defensive coach I believe that gives him an edge, but again, one has to wonder with only one year as a coordinator, how others with far more experience did not get the gig.
Gotta be the ‘McVay Effect’, den. Lol.
Otherwise, a more experienced O mind would (should) have been the pick.
