Goff's confidence is in the dumpster. Will he rebound like we tend to think he will if they improve at Center and he's got good protections? That's not a given.
But more importantly here is that the other QB is superior to Goff. So that's why I don't doubt it at all. What I do doubt is that the Texans are interested in that trade.
The good thing here is you will have a ton of QBs available this offseason. The market will be a little saturated with near-miss types and guys who might be done, reclamations if you will. So I expect the Rams to have open competition at QB next year in camp at the least because McVay doesn't mess around.
Whether Goff is part of that or not, I have no idea. Comes down to whether he realizes that he should have been benched before now due to his play, as well as how lucky he has been to be under McVay in this scheme.
