That post is a masterpiece, Leo. You is becoming a board treasure, man. Lol.

My brief thoughts...

I like our chances with this Ram secondary against Rodgers/Adams. It will be a challenge, for sure, but I like Ramsey on Adams all game long and if Rodgers is largely deprived of Adams then I’ve read that there is a very big dropoff to the remaining receivers who must contend with Williams, Hill, and our safeties. I think that that’s advantage Rams, particularly while that Ram rush is hurrying Rodgers. I think Rodgers is gonna learn that this Ram D is a whole different animal than any he’s faced all year.

If Staley can defend the run while getting pressure while bringing only 4 then this could be a long afternoon for the Packers.

On the Ram O side it’s very simple. Can Ram OL protect Goff AND open a few holes for Akers, or not? We will win or lose this game largely on the answers to those 2 questions. If Rams utilize power run blocking schemes then I could see a big game for Akers. Lots of 1st downs, big TOP advantage for Rams which keeps Rodgers on the sideline, and a few TD’s in the process. Hope McVay uses his TE’s wisely with key blocks and timely (and relatively safe) throws to them.

Sure hope that Goff’s thumb is better. If it is he might be just able to keep the Packer D off balance. That might be all that is needed.

This might be the game to pull out all the stops with trick plays such as an Akers RPO or a Hekker fake punt, or whatever.

In summary, Rams are at a huge disadvantage at QB if only because of the thumb, but I have great faith in Staley and this D. It is truly elite in all aspects and I have serious doubts that Rodgers is gonna have enough time to find barely open receivers. Rams winding up with a turnover advantage would not surprise me at all.

Should be a magnificent game to watch and enjoy.
