Goff made a gutsy replacement effort for Wolford somewhat overcoming his thumb injury and played just well enough to win.
Goff did not have a good game and left many missed opportunities on the field.
Those two statements are both accurate and they are not mutually exclusive.
Good for him for not trying to chase opportunities like that when he has a bad throwing hand and decreased efficiency.
That's part of playing within himself, injured.
Yet oddly it shows up as a criticism.
