Seattle Seahawks did not play good defense in that game. They had guys open deep. They had guys blown underneath. They got mashed in the run game.
The previous game where Seattle crushed us it was the same thing in the pass game: guys were open deep and in scoring postions and spots where they could have made big plays but we're not seeing them and converting them.
I haven't watched Seattle's other games but the team I saw vs our Rams was not a good defense.
People right now don't grasp how poor the Rams' QB play has been. And the last game was bad across the board. It wasn't anything other than a QB not seeing things. I don't know what's up with Goff but he is not the same guy right now.
And how is it that you know a qb with a banged up throwing hand isn't seeing things, or isn't throwing things because of his hand? That's why you can't discount the hand--it tilts the entire analysis.
Meanwhile the 2nd Seattle game they did what SF did twice and what other teams have done though not always with the same success--attack the Rams OL. (In the first game Seattle blitzed a lot, not the 2nd game.) That's an attack that has regularly disrupted the Rams entire offense, not just the qb. Jets did it too.
In the wildcard game the Rams flat did not allow that to happen.
