Floyd was a high end pick who hadn't lived up to his billing. In this scheme and under this staff he finally did. Now he's grown into a monster.
Fowler was a plus blindside edge rusher for us. Floyd has been elite. He is a difference maker in the run game and moves all over and gets consistent pressure now in the passing game too. He's also rangy and routinely drops and covers in the flats with good result. You're talking about an all-around stud here.
Problem of course is what we're seeing on film is something teams are willing to pay big bucks for. But it's also something we probably won't find on the cheap again. We might hit on a one year rental again but not like we just did with Floyd. This season he's having is special he has given us a third difference maker on that side of the ball. With him and Williams we basically have 4 guys who you know are going to make 3 to 5 plays a game and that starts adding up quick which is why our defense has been so potent.
