I have zero idea why all Ram Fans are not Giddy with Goff as our QB.
All I know is he WINS.oing
In the NFL that's all that matters. In the playoffs, it's the only thing that matters.
Goff comes in last week, off the bench and takes care of business and gets the "W".
Rivers, OUT! Tannehill, OUT! Big Ben, OUT! Wilson, OUT! Trubisky OUT!..........Goff and Rams are still IN PLAYOFFS!
We were 9-6 with Goff as our QB. (Wolford won the final Cards game).
We won that Seahawk game mostly because of an amazing D and Akers (plus OL) efforts, tbh.
What if we could have been 14-2, maybe 15-1 this season with this roster? IMO, we lost 4-5 very winnable games this year and I suspect that you would agree.
Look, there’s something ‘off’ with Goff since at least ‘19 to date. Inconsistency, turnovers, inaccuracy, missing blitzes, etc.
I’m no QB guru, heaven knows, but I think it relates to his processing speed in this dialed back O and/or a confidence problem exacerbated by a fear of turnover type mistakes. He seems a shell of his ‘17 and early ‘18 self to me. A #1 overall and $134M QB that is ranked in the bottom third of the league. WTH is wrong with that picture?
Anyway, I hope that McVay, O’Connell, and Goff can fix all this. I really do. But I sense that McVay might be ready to explore other options unless this condition improves rather quickly.
Hate to have to say all these things while Goff is playing through injury, but I’m talking about a 32+ game trend, not just last week. Just calling it as I see it.
