Here are the game stats.

The passing stats were hardly scintillating but Goff DID do enough to prevent the Rams from becoming one dimensional. That’s no small thing.
But this game was won by a smothering D and some good plays by ST, let’s don’t kid ourselves otherwise.
Don’t get me wrong. Kudos to Goff for playing through that thumb injury. That’s no small thing, either.
Gotta be realistic here now, though. A helluva lot better passing game will be required if we hope to beat either the Packers or the Saints.
Hard to imagine the Rams' D dominating the Pack or Saints this way. And if Wolford is fine and Goff's thumb isn't substantially better in a week, I want to see Wolford start. (I also note that even w/a mediocre Goff at the helm almost the entire game, the Rams' O scored 23.) And, unfortunately, I have to think that playing today makes Goff's thumb much less likely to be 90%+ in a week. It certainly wasn't today. Hard to imagine that the swelling we saw would even allow Goff to take starter's snaps early this coming week. But we'll see.
