Akers did that
WOW
what were the other big plays??????
1. 3rd and 9 outlet pass to Akers after evading two tacklers (2:47 left in the 2nd quarter). Goff had not done anything to that point. That was a turning point for his game. Akers did most of the work YAC and got the touchdown with 2 more carries. But without the play that Goff makes there, we punt and Seattle could go ahead.
2. 1st and 10 with 1 minute left in the 3rd quarter. An absolute strike to Robert Woods. Both teams had gone back and forth 4 times with the same score 20 - 13 at that point. If Goff doesn't get points, you know Seattle will tie it at some point. Goff would go on to hit woods 2 more times on that long drive and get a field goal getting the Rams a 10 point lead again.
3. 2nd and 4 with 4:49 left in the 4th. Toss to Woods. Yes he was wide open and well schemed. Everyone and their mother knew Goff was hurt. Most of us here thought McVay would keep running because we were getting 5 yards a play at that point. Seattle sold out to stop the run. Goff pulled it out of the RB and threw a perfect toss to Woods. Wide open passes like that can be some of the hardest. You've seen people screw up that throw and catch a million times. That was the dagger that sealed the game.
There you go. 3 Huge plays by Goff and the biggest may have been that he didn't turn the ball over.
